this past weekend was packed with good. my home stake held what's called afy. yes, Afy...not efy. it's just like efy but everything is packed into 3 days instead of 1 week and it's free. so, i was asked to be a counselor for it and it was a really neat experience. i am so exhausted and feel like i've aged 7 years but i learned so much from these kids. they are STRONG and it was awesome and refreshing to feel of that strength. steph and i were counselors for the same group of 9 gals. they are the cutest gals ever and it was so fun to see them grow in the short time that we were with them. pretty incredible. i wore my big glasses and 2 of the girls went and bought some fake ones that look like mine and wore them during afy. they told one of the other leaders that they wanted to be like Mindy. haha. so adorable. i'm glad for that opportunity to share my testimony with the youth and to learn so much from them. tender mercy indeed.
another counselor and i were asked to teach a dating class on one of the days for afy. go ahead and laugh, i did too. it went well i suppose. the church is true.
oh, and a couple weeks ago i went to noah and the whale AND iron & wine in salt lake. holy smokes! so amazing. i went with some friends and it was so much fun. i love music and love making memories with good friends. noah and the whale played all the songs i was hoping they would. happiness. :)
life is good. i have so much to be happy about and so much that i'm grateful for. i have learned so much about my Savior these past few months. i have come to know Him better. i'm able to see Him and feel Him more and that is a beautiful feeling. i don't ever want to NOT feel that. His life gives me life, gives all of us life. because of Him and the love of our Heavenly Father our lives can be vibrant and full of color. that is what keeps me going. it's Him.
