"spring swaps snow for leaves"

weekends are my favorite. brother dan and sister in law alex came for a visit. the band (imagine dragons) came and played their extraordinary tunes at velour in provo as well. so incredible. really. i am so proud of my brother. he is so passionate about music and i love how happy it makes him. when he shreds out his solo's, it makes me a lil teary eyed. seriously. we danced to our hearts content. it felt happy.

yesterday, i spent most of the day with those two lovelies (dalex=dan and alex). we went to salt lake and took a gander at this INCREDIBLE vintage shop called Decade's. vintage is so cool. everything is so one-of-a-kind. fun indeed. 

um, sometimes i wish that the cold would go away. like right now. i would love for spring to be. however, as mumford and sons say so beautifully... "spring swaps snow for leaves".

it's true. in so many ways. speaking of those fantastic folks, i get to see them in real life this weekend. oh what joy that will be! i can't wait. the semester is ALMOST over. phew! i don't think i've ever been more ready for school to be done. i'm ready for change. i'm ready for summer to come and to have NEW experiences. there is nothing as constant as change, right. i figure it's better to embrace that fact rather than run from it. change is scary sometimes but SO SO SO good.

so, kind of at the last minute i was asked to teach sunday school on sunday. i didn't feel nearly as prepared as i wanted but, i learned that if i prepare as much as i can, He makes up for the rest. always. that is an eternal truth. i am grateful. it was a beautiful lesson. not, because of me but because of the spirit. those in class shared such insightful and inspired thoughts and testimonies. it was wonderful. we talked about becoming child like, forgiving all, and we read about the good samaritan.

there is no better way to show our love for Heavenly Father and our Savior. the gospel is about doing and becoming. easter time is happy time. spring is a time of new growth. we are all focused (hopefully) on the Light of the world. His life, His infinite sacrifice and atonement, and the FACT that He was risen. He went to depths that none of us could ever comprehend and there is no distance too far for Him. what we celebrate is that we can have life through His name. we live because He lives. because He rose again, we too can rise above that which seems to hold us down whether it be death, sin, heartache, fear, doubt, etc... all this, because of His perfect love. because the tomb was empty.

i love the scriptures and they really do "tell us all things that we should do". amen to that nephi. i love Jesus Christ. i KNOW that He lives. i hope y'all have a wonderful celebration of His perfect love for YOU this easter and always. that is all for now. :)
